After purchasing your e-book, you will receive an email with a link to the Manage E-books center in your Evan-Moor account. If you haven't received an email, go there now.
Once you are at the Manage E-books center, follow the step-by-step directions of the download process:
NOTE FOR MAC USERS: Your computer may automatically open your e-book in a program other than Adobe Reader. To ensure your e-book functions properly, we recommend changing your default settings to open PDFs using Adobe Reader.

Using the commenting tools you can add notes or comments to an enhanced e-book (but not a standard e-book).
In order to access the commenting tools for an enhanced e-book simply select Show Comment & Markup Toolbar from the Comments menu.
From this toolbar you will have access to a variety of tools:
Sticky Note/Note Tool:
The Sticky Note or Note tool allows you to add collapsible notes to any area of an enhanced e-book.
Text Edits:
The Text Edits tool allows you to type comments or notes directly into the running text of your enhanced e-book. Text edits let the reader of an enhanced e-book know where content should be inserted, deleted, or replaced.
- Inserting Text: To mark a place where text should be inserted, click between the words or characters where you would like to add text. Then begin typing. An insertion caret will appear in your enhanced e-book. To view your addition, click on the caret and your insertion will show up as a pop-up note.
- Deleting Text: To mark a spot where text should be deleted, highlight the text you'd like to delete, then press Backspace or Delete on your keyboard. The text you highlighted will be marked with a red strike-through line to indicate that it should be deleted.
- Replacing Text: To mark a spot where text should be replaced, highlight the text you'd like to replace, then begin typing. The text you highlighted will be marked with a red strike-through line and a caret with your new text will appear.
Stamp Tool: The Stamp tool allows you to "stamp" a document with a standard Adobe Reader stamp (such as Approved, Final, Draft, etc.) or choose from any image on your computer to create your own stamp.
Highlight Text Tool: The Highlight Text tool allows you to highlight any text in your enhanced e-book that is not part of an image.
Attach Tool: The Attach tool allows you to attach any document/file or an audio clip to an enhanced e-book so that it shows up as a comment.

You can copy and paste text from your enhanced e-book into another digital format. To copy and paste the text of your enhanced e-book into another digital format (such as Word or PowerPoint) follow these steps:
Using the set of mark-up tools in Adobe Reader, you can draw on and mark-up an enhanced e-book.
In order to access the mark-up tools for an enhanced e-book simply select Show Comment Markup Toolbar from the Comments menu.
From this toolbar you will have access to a variety of mark-up tools:
Pencil Tool:
- The Pencil tool allows you to draw freely in different colors and line widths on any area of an enhanced e-book.
Object Tools:
- Object tools that include a cloud, arrow, line, square, and circle allow you to draw shapes to highlight any area of an enhanced e-book.
Callout Tool:
- The Callout tool allows you to create comments or notes in an enhanced e-book.
- Adobe Reader also allows you to print an e-book with your mark-ups. From the Print window simply select Comment and Forms/Document and Markups.
If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro, save the page you want to extract as a PDF and all the enhanced features, such as the typewriting tools, editing tools, and read alouds, will function. However, if using Adobe Reader, the extracted content is saved as an image rather than as dynamic content, and the enhanced features will not work on the extracted page.

Using the Snapshot tool you can take a snapshot of a section of an enhanced e-book (but not a standard e-book) and paste it into a new document as if it were an image.

Using the text tool, you can type anywhere on an e-book page.
In order to access the text toolbar for an e-book simply select Show Comment Toolbar from the Tools menu. From this toolbar you will be able to change the font, size, color, and leading of your type.
To type into your document, simply select the text tool, click on the area of your enhanced e-book where you would like to add text, and begin typing.
