Judy L. Harris

Judy L. Harris
Interim President and CEO

Judy Harris, Evan-Moor’s interim president and CEO, is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience with global brands, marketing, and sales for consumer products and educational publishing businesses. Judy took the helm when co-founder and CEO Bill Evans retired after 40 years of leadership.

Previously, Judy served as CEO of Carson Dellosa Education. Under her tenure, Carson Dellosa earned several prestigious industry awards, acquired Key Education Publishing, and introduced digital tools. Judy was recognized as the Triad Business Woman of the Year 2012.

Judy also served as CEO of Smarterville, Inc. and as president and CEO of Educational Media for PRIMEDIA, which included Channel One Network and Films Media Group. Judy held senior executive positions with notable companies, including PBS Businesses, Discovery Communication Networks, and the Crayola Company. She has served on Evan-Moor’s Board of Directors since 2015. She also is an advisor to several innovative technology start-ups in the consumer market.

Judy is a Drexel University graduate and received the 2016 Alumni of Special Distinction Award.


David C. Miller

David C. Miller
Vice President, Operations & Finance

Since joining Evan-Moor in 2007, David Miller has contributed a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the development and profitability of Evan-Moor. David’s role has expanded throughout the years, from managing finance to overseeing purchasing, inventory management, human resources, legal activities, trademark and copyright protections, and buildings/facilities maintenance. In his current position, he also has responsibility for the customer service and fulfilment departments.

A CPA with decades of high-level finance and management experience, David has spearheaded numerous key initiatives for Evan-Moor, including being the key executive who worked on the acquisition of Evan-Moor by Lincoln Learning Solutions in May 2018. He has also fostered global relationships with printers and suppliers that have kept Evan-Moor competitive in an ever-changing landscape of supply chain management.

Prior to joining Evan-Moor, David spent 18 years at Gareth Stevens, Inc. and rose through the organization to Chief Financial Officer. He also held key audit positions with Ernst & Young LLP and Arthur Young & Company.

David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


James F. O'Donnell III

James F. O'Donnell III
Vice President of Sales

Bringing impressive experience with major retailers across the country, Jim O'Donnell now leads Evan-Moor's sales in the mass market, trade marketing, and educational retailer market. Jim will help to increase Evan-Moor's presence in these markets and help to build mutually beneficial relationships with both mass market retailers and teacher stores.

Jim has over 25 years of sales experience, most recently serving as Director of Mass Market Sales for Parragon Books LTD. At Parragon, Jim managed and grew business with a variety of retailers, including Walmart, Toys R Us, Kmart, Rite Aid, and Kroger—and worked with key distributors such as Readerlink and ANConnect. His innovation and leadership produced significant growth in sales.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.

Kirsten Schmieg-Watters
Director of Sales, International Markets

Kirsten Schmieg-Watters is an experienced professional with over 19 years in the educational publishing industry. Kirsten has played a key role in developing Evan-Moor’s global presence and has created strong partnerships with key distributors and publishers around the world. Kirsten has a proven record of consistent sales growth and customer retention. She’s represented Evan-Moor at a variety of International tradeshows including Frankfurt Book Fair, London Book Fair, Beijing Book Fair, and Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and serves as an important source of information regarding global trends for Evan-Moor’s publishing team. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in geography from Humboldt State University.


Lisa Vitarisi Mathews

Lisa Vitarisi Mathews
Publisher

Lisa Mathews serves as Publisher of Evan-Moor Educational Publishers. In this role, Mathews oversees the publishing of materials through all stages of development, from conceptualizing and planning to production. Since joining Evan-Moor in 2002, Mathews has represented the company in the United States and abroad, giving workshops and product training, and learning how teachers use Evan-Moor resources. Her previous experience in working with students in grades K–8 and her keen knowledge of what works in classrooms to enhance both teaching and learning have shaped Evan-Moor’s positive contribution to educational publishing.


Keli Winters

Keli Winters
Director of Technology Products

Keli Winters joined Evan-Moor's product development team in 1998 as a desktop designer, moving on to serve as the Director of Production for eight years. In her current role, Winters has worked to establish Evan-Moor's technology vision for the future, focusing on developing product for traditional, blended, and online classrooms. In this role, she oversees technology integration with print product, as well as the development of stand-alone technology product and new methodologies for product delivery. Winters holds a bachelor's degree in fine art with a concentration in 3-D design from the University of Arizona.


Anney BanalesAnney Banales
Director of Operations & Fulfillment

Anney Banales has managed Evan-Moor's Customer Service Department since 1995. Banales's background in retail sales management and buying, including school supply sales, has allowed her to contribute to Evan-Moor's tradition of a high level of customer satisfaction. During her time at Evan-Moor, Banales has developed strategies for efficient order processing, streamlined the work flow, and implemented various training efforts to ensure that a consistent level of service is offered to all Evan-Moor customers.


Theresa Taugher Wooler

Theresa Taugher Wooler
Director of Marketing

Theresa Wooler serves as Evan-Moor’s Director of Marketing, bringing over 17 years of experience in marketing, public relations, corporate communications, and K-12 education. In her current role, Theresa leads the company’s marketing initiatives to reach teachers, homeschoolers, and parents with the shared mission of helping children learn. Theresa manages a team that supports all sales channels in expanding Evan-Moor’s brand and presence around the world.

Previously, Theresa served as Evan-Moor’s Marketing Manager, developing communication strategies to increase brand awareness, including launching the Joy of Teaching education blog and building the affiliate network. Theresa also worked in public relations for GCI Group Los Angeles, focusing on B2B public relations for supermarket industry clients, and for Great Western Financial corporate communications. Theresa began her career as a credentialed high school English teacher and served as the English department chair.

Theresa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Lit with an emphasis in Journalism from the University of California, Los Angeles.
